Stroll for Strong Kids Photos
The drizzling rain didn't dampen sprits of the stroll participants. Below, you'll see highlights from the day's celebration at our 10th annual Stroll, held on Saturday, June 3 in Genesee Valley Park.

| Andrea Holland (Mix 100.5) and Al Chesonis (chair of Stroll committee) led the festivities nearby the starting line. |
There was cake -- lots of cake -- donated by Wal-mart in honor of 30-year-old children's hospital mascot and birthday girl, Sandy Strong. |
| Clowns around every corner. |
Under the plastic was a smart place to be during the drizzle. |
| Never a dull moment... |
Inspecting the goody bags. |
| It was a "photo-start" -- not a photo-finish -- for Miracle families, the Matthews (left) and the Neuberts (right). |
Sandy surrounded by clowns and kids...in her giant birthday hat. |
| Here, a team in lime green strolls to support Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong. |
Sandy grins (she can't help it!) as she Stroll staff members present her with a party cake. |
| Area Kohl's stores sent A-Teams, or groups of five volunteers, to help staff the Stroll event. The department store chain made a $57,537 donation to the hospital's Pediatric Links with the Community program, which helps to promote the health of kids on a community level, putting resident pediatricians to work with community-based organizations, not just in the doctor's office. |
Strollers waiting to start their walks... the line snaked around the pavillions; some walkers finished the loop (albeit shorter, because of the rain) before others had even crossed the start! |
| This clown was ready for the rain...sort of. |
Guess you could say the day, ultimately, is all about remembering just how much we love our kids. |
| Miracle Kid team, the Matthews, huddled around all-star Alex. |
Little strolling girl enjoys a fresh apple (not sure how many doctors she was able to keep far away -- pediatricians were all over the place!) |
| Miracle Kids family, the Neuberts, beam with their little girl. |
After strolling and playing the day away, it's time to re-up energy with a healthy lunch. Thanks to Subway, especially, for thousands of sandwiches to hungry walkers! |
| No face left unpainted. |
Fun t-shirt...Team Pickle Girl? |
| A blue-shirted team takes to the route. |
Kids dance with Gary the Happy Pirate to the "popcorn" song...they bounced until they could bounce no more. |

PLC Program Directors Andy Aligne, M.D., Laura Jean Shipley, M.D., and Jeffrey Kaczoroski, M.D., are glad to accept the check on behalf of residents, area children and families that will be benefitted by the projects conducted through the program. One final look of the line, snaking around the Stroll route...what a turn out!
Warmest thanks to Lori Coles, John Pretino, and others who shared these photos and kept snapping away during the event! You helped us make memories...
